May 10, 2011

OXFORD, Maine – Oxford Plains Speedway will kick off its 2011 season with a display of race cars in Portland's Monument Square this Friday, May 13, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  It is the second year in a row that the Speedway has brought its display to Maine's biggest city.

Two-time TD Bank 250 Champ Eddie MacDonald will be on hand with his 2011 ride.  Corey Morgan, a local favorite who finished third in last year's event, will also be on hand with his racing machine.  Joining Corey will be his wife Missy Morgan, a fierce competitor in Oxford's Ladies Division.  Speedway personnel will also be on hand to answer questions.

Racing action at Oxford starts this Sunday with the Big Jab 150 American Canadian Tour event.  The Late Models will be joined by the other seven Speedway divisions for what promises to be an action filled afternoon.
