La 5e manche de la Super Série à l’Autodrome Drummond ce samedi ! La finale Modifié sera doublement importante car, en plus de la 5e manche de la Super Série où on donne des bourses aux 10 premiers dans les points au terme des 6 épreuves, ce sera la dernière soirée que les pilotes pourront accumuler des points envers le championnat de l’Autodrome Drummond. La course au titre à Drummond est largement dominée par David Hébert qui détient 81 points de priorité sur Sébastien Gougeon, nouveau détenteur du 2e rang. Steve Bernard est présentement 3e à seulement 3 points de Gougeon. Kayle Robidoux est en 4e position avec 15 points de recul sur Bernard et Yan Bussière vient fermer la marche du top 5 avec 459 points soit 17 points de moins que Robidoux. Pour ce qui est de la Super Séries, Steve Bernard est le meneur dans les points avec 362 points, soit 11 points devant François Bernier. David Hébert n’est pas loin derrière avec 348 points, 3 de moins que Bernier. Clément Therrien et Gino Clair complète le top 5. Yan Bussière, Claude Brouillard, Mario Clair, Dominic Dufault et Alan Therrien, suivent dans cet ordre pour compléter les 10 premiers. La situation est semblable en Sportsman alors que Steve Bernier détient une confortable avance de 64 points sur Jacques Pelletier, seulement 16 points séparent les positions 2 à 4 avec Pelletier, Patrick Picotin et Martin Pelletier dans cet ordre. René Clair est assis confortablement au 5e rang. Des points de championnat seront donnés dans cette finale, donc les pilotes devront obtenir de bons résultats afin de sécuriser leur place au championnat. Jocelyn Roy semble se diriger vers le titre de champion en Pro-Stock, alors qu’il a une avance de 25 points sur Stéphane Lemire, celui-ci a été la plus grande menace à Roy depuis le début de la saison. Lemire est loin devant Mario Gagnon alors que 70 points, séparent les 2 pilotes. Jocelyn Chicoine et Rolland Hébert complète le top 5. Avec des points de championnat distribué dans chacune des catégories, les pilotes devront user de stratégie et s’assurer d’offrir de bonnes performances pour tenter d’améliorer leur sort ou bien de sécuriser leur position. De plus, l’action débutera très tôt en Modifié alors que les points sont serrés dans le championnat de la Super Série et les pilotes voudront s’assurer d’une bonne place dès que les temps chronométrés vont débuter. Lemire is sitting alone in second while he has 70 points between Mario Gagnon in third. Jocelyn Chicoine and Rolland Hebert, completes the top 5. With championship points distributed in all the categories, the drivers will have to be competitive during every lap and try to help their spot.
