New Partnerships This Season and a Calendar of Five Events

Montreal (Quebec), March 13, 2016.- This Sunday, the Super Production Challenge (SPC) race series officials unveils to competitors, officials, media, and sponsors the highlights of the 2016 season, which promises to be particularly interesting, as the SPC series begins its partnership with BFGoodrich® Tires Canada and presents to the drivers a fifteen-race calendar spread out over five events that will be held at the Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, the Autodrome St-Eustache, and at Calabogie Motorsports Park in Ontario.

The 2016 season of the SPC series will kick-off in exactly two months and a large majority of the 2015 season regulars, as well as several new competitors, are expected for this series' renewal. « The arrival of BFGoodrich® Tires Canada as major title series sponsor, with the collaboration of Pneus Touchette, enables us to bring the SPC series to another level than what we've known up until now » indicates series promoter, Dominic St-Jean. « During the last five years, we have worked very hard and as a result, the series is climbing yet another step in terms of image and professionalism, still while remaining within reach for all the drivers, with, among other things, an interesting calendar of events without being too time-restrictive during the summer months » he specified.

"BFGoodrich® Tires Canada is proud to partner with Pneus Touchette in support of the Super Production Challenge (SPC) race series.  SPC will provide a venue to showcase through competition the performance of the BFGoodrich® g-Force ultra high performance tire family to influential automotive enthusiasts » stated Peter Calhoun - North American Motorsport Manager, BFGoodrich®Tires. "2016 is the first of a multi-year BFGoodrich® commitment to SPC, which will utilize the BFGoodrich® g-Force Rival as the control tire across all classes of competition and we could not be more excited to get the season started."

The Quebec company Pneus Touchette will equally be implicated as partners with BFGoodrich® in the SPC series. « We are anticipating the start of the 2016 season with a lot of pride and enthusiasm » explains Manuel Solis, director of Touchette Motorsport. « As a supplier of the high-quality and internationally renowned BFGoodrich® products, I'm confident that its collaboration with a dynamic and diversified series like the Super Production Challenge shows that together, they possess everything required to offer enticing and entertaining competition. We are proud to be the official supplier of BFGoodrich® g-Force Rival tires for the SPC series and  we are convinced that this collaboration will bring nothing but positive for all partners involved  including the teams, the series, and the spectators ! ! » he concludes.

Spectators will see the series drivers in action as of May 14th, at Calabogie Motorsports Park, located southwest of Ottawa. Three weekends later, the competitors will head to the Circuit ICAR on June 4th.  Following those races, the Circuit ICAR will again set the stage for the next rounds on July 2nd and 3rd, as the SPC series takes part in the NASCAR weekend at the Mirabel track.  The Autodrome St-Eustache will be the last location to host, on August 27th, prior to the grand finale at the Circuit ICAR, on October 1st.

Two classes of cars will be added, including the SPC class for the most powerful Touring Car type of cars, as well as a Compact class reserved for sub-compact models.  Approximately thirty drivers are anticipated at each event.
