| Le 16 Mai 2010 Neuvième place à Canandaigua Speedway. Saint-Pie, QC … Alain Bergeron et son équipe étaient, hier soir (samedi) à la piste de Canandaigua Speedway dans l’état de New York. Plus de 36 pilotes étaient sur place pour tenter de se tailler une des 22 places disponibles en finale A-Main. Avec le deuxième temps le plus rapide lors des essais, Bergeron était sixième sur la grille de départ en qualification. Même en terminant cinquième, il se devait de passer par le B-Main. | May 16, 2010 Ninth place finish at Canandaigua NY… Saint-Pie, QC … Alain Bergeron and his team were, yesterday nigh (Saturday), at Canandaigua Speedway NY. 36 drivers were in the pits area trying to have one of the 22 starting spot in the A-Main race. With the second fastest time during practices, Bergeron was starting sixth in his heat. However, by completing the race in fifth, he had to pass by the B-Main. |
| Le pilote de Saint-Pie remporta cette course B-Main et se qualifia en finale A-Main. Par contre, la position de départ n’était pas, disons-le, idéale, soit dix-septième. Dès le départ, Bergeron attaqua le peloton et déjà au troisième tour, il se retrouvait au huitième rang. Tous les espoirs étaient permis. Avec énormément de ralentissements et une course écourtée, la voiture commença à avoir des ratés d’essence et Bergeron reperdit des positions pour finalement terminer au neuvième rang. La voiture se comportait très bien et tenant compte de la situation, le résultat est très satisfaisant. Prochaine course pour Team Bergeron, Fonda Speedway avec la série ESS. En 2001, à sa deuxième campagne seulement au volant d'un Sprint Car, il fut le pilote de la série avec le plus de victoires, soit trois. On sait que cette catégorie de voitures de course est un château fort des pilotes américains. Malgré une très jeune carrière en Sprint Car, Alain Bergeron est déjà au 18e rang des pilotes au chapitre des victoires de tous les temps pour la série ESS avec 7 gains. | The Canadian driver won the B-Main et qualified for the A-Main. Unfortunately, his starting position was way back to 17th place. At the green of the A-Main, Bergeron charged the field and was 8th on lap number 3. With a lot of yellow flags, the car started to be missing fuel and Bergeron lost positions and completed the race in 9th. The car was running pretty good and with what happened, the result was satisfying. Next race for Team Bergeron will be at Fonda Speedway, in two weeks, with the ESS.
