Beech Ridge, Lee USA host the PASS traveling road show on Saturday,Tuesday Naples ME (7/6) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North schedule always heats up in July, and this week's double dose of Super Late Model racing is a must see for fans of the fastest full fender race cars in the east. Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough Maine anchors the northern series and both the Super Late Models and Mods will be back on track at the Ridge this Saturday July 9 for the Southern Maine Motors.com 150. |
Beech Ridge always brings out a packed field and the entry list already has a number of new or returning entries. Kellyyy Moore, Scott Mulkern, Bill Penfold, Ricky Morse, JT Thurlow and DJ Shaw will be racing with PASS, challenging the regulars for Beech Ridge supremacy. All the PASS North point contenders are expected to be in action, including a number of Beech Ridge Pro Series regulars.. Beech Ridge weekly racer Bill Rodgers stole the touring racer's thunder in the 2010 edition of this event, winning one for the home team. The PASS Mod squad will be looking to end Andy Shaw's three race 2011 win streak; The Mods will go 40 laps at the Scarborough oval and their segment of the show is always exciting. Racing gets the green at 6:00 PM. The Beech Ridge Sport Series, Wildcat and Road Runner divisions complete the card. The turn around for both divisions will be a quick one as they will all be back on track Tuesday July 12 for their annual trip to Lee USA Speedway. The third annual addition of the PASS Bastille 200 features all three PASS touring series, and the home track heroes always look forward challenging the touring PASS Sportsman drivers. Mike Rowe and Johnny Clark battled it out in the 2010 edition of the PASS Bastille 200 with Rowe prevailing in the closing laps to win one of the season's most exciting races. It's a great night of racing at Red and Judy MacDonald s beautiful Route 125 facility. Qualifying rounds kick off at 7:00 PM. Ben Rowe's victory at Canaan Fair Speedway allowed the Turner Maine speed merchant to open up a twelve point gap over defending champion Johnny Clark, but its not a comfortable margin by any means. The month of July will go a long way to deciding the 2011 title, and there's a lot of great racing ahead for racers and fans alike.
