PASS North: Next Stop, White Mountain

All three PASS North Series head for the mountains Sunday afternoon

Naples ME (8/23) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models, Mods and Sportsman are all on track this weekend when the three touring series visit North Woodstock New Hampshire's White Mountain Motorsports Park on Sunday afternoon August 28th.

Arguably one of the country's most scenic venues, the Avery family's quick quarter mile never fails to produce great racing and the track is a favorite for racers and fans alike.

There's 150 green flag laps on tap for the PASS North Super Late Models. Johnny Clark has built up a seventy one point lead on Ben Rowe in the series standings. He's batting .500 with five wins in ten starts, but there's still plenty of racing left with two White Mountain shows, the big Beech Ridge PASS 400 weekend and the season finale at Oxford Plains Speedway still on the docket. His sixth series title is promising but far from a lock.

When the PASS Mods last raced there was an unusual result – someone beside Andy Shaw took the checkers! Shaw has been unstoppable in 2011 winning five in a row until Allan Wilson broke the winning streak at Oxford. Wilson trails Shaw by just sixteen markers and he will be looking to gain a few more points when the checkers fall on the 40 lap PASS Mod feature.

There's only one name in the PASS Sportsman win column this season. Shane Tatro has claimed both 75 lap PASS Sportsman features in 2011 and he's eighteen up on Carey Martin in the title chase. Tatro will look to make it three for three but look for plenty of competition from teams that will join the touring Sportsman drivers for a chance to race the beautiful quarter mile on a Sunday afternoon.

The North East Mini Stock Tour  will complete the four division card.

The racing goes green at 2:00 PM on Sunday August 28. White Mountain Motorsports Park is on Route three in North Woodstock, New Hampshire. The track is on line at www.whitemtnmotorsports.com .
