Il pilotera la Porsche Carrera no 38 avec laquelle il a déjà compétitionné à plusieurs reprises, notamment en janvier dernier à Daytona ainsi qu’en 2011 et 2010. | PRESS RELEASE (For Immediate Diffusion) JEAN-FRANCOIS DUMOULIN ON THE TRACK AT WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL Returns with BGB Motorsports Trois-Rivieres, June 27th, 2012 – This Saturday June 30th, Jean-Francois Dumoulin will be on the track with BGB Motorsports for the Continental Tire Challenge GS series at Watkins Glen International, New York, United States. He will be driving the n°38 Porsche Carrera with which he has previously competed, notably in 2010, 2011 and last January in Daytona. |
Jean-François Dumoulin partagera le volant avec Mark Sandridge (Westfield Center, Ohio, États-Unis) qui qualifiera la voiture. « C’est toujours un plaisir de retrouver l’équipe de BGB Motorsports, une collaboration professionnelle qui est vraiment appréciée. Je connais bien la Porsche n°38 et elle devrait être une excellente voiture pour la piste de Watkins Glen », partage Dumoulin. Même série, même type de voiture, ce circuit est synonyme de victoires pour Jean-François Dumoulin qui est monté sur la première marche du podium à deux reprises : en 2001(anciennement Motorola Cup) et 2007 (anciennement Koni Challenge) au volant d’une Porsche préparée par Fiorano Racing. « C’est une épreuve d’endurance de 2h30 la piste est technique et super rapide. Il y aura plusieurs adversaires de taille, des voitures de haut calibre et le niveau de compétition sera très élevé. J’ai hâte d’être en piste et de démontrer ce qu’on est capable de faire, surtout que nous avons terminé en 4e et 2e position avec cette Porsche », mentionne avec enthousiasme l’instructeur de pilotage à l’international. BGB Motorsports aura également une deuxième Porsche Carrera en piste (n°83) qui sera pilotée par David Empringham et John Farano (co-équipier de Jean-François Dumoulin en janvier dernier). Trente bolides en catégorie GS sont attendus pour cette épreuve. La séance de qualifications aura lieu le vendredi 29 juin à 15h15 et le départ du « Continental Tire 150 » sera donné le samedi 30 juin à 15h. To Jean-Francois Dumoulin this track is synonymous with victories where he stood at the top of the podium on two occasions : 2001 (formerly called Motorola Cup) and in 2007 (formerly called Koni Challenge) at the wheel of a Porsche prepared by Fiorano Racing. « It is a two and a half hour endurance race, a very fast and technical track. With highly ranked contenders and powerful cars the competition level will be very high. I am eager to be on the track to show what we are capable of doing, especially since we have had previous 2nd and 4th place finishes this Porsche. », mentions the international racing instructor with enthusiasm. BGB Motorsports will also have a second Porsche Carrera on the track (n°83) that will be driven by David Empringham and John Farano (Jean-Francois Dumoulins’ teammate from last January). Thirty cars are expected to participate in the GS category. The qualifying session will take place this Friday June 29th at 3:15 pm, and the « Continental Tire 150 » race start will occur Saturday June 30th at 3 pm.
