NASCAR's Matt Crafton Enters Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway

Crafton, who has started 281 consecutive races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series dating back to 2000, will drive the No. 88 Messina Wildlife Management/Menards Toyota for ThorSport Racing, joining teammate Frank Kimmel, driver of the No. 44 Ansell/Menards entry. The number on Crafton's ARCA car will match that on his ThorSport truck, the No. 88 Menards Toyota. The California native will hope to bounce back from a 32nd-place finish in last year's race at Lucas Oil, when he exited after just 75 of 203 laps. He will look to recapture the success he had in an ARCA car in 2010, when he finished in the top five at both Toledo and Iowa Speedways. Crafton is currently sixth in Truck Series points, and actually has 11 Truck Series races under his belt at the 0.686-mile Lucas Oil Raceway. Last year, he finished sixth to follow up on a career-high third in 2010. Crafton's opportunity to race in the ARCA Racing Series is a result of the overall Menards Racing vendor program in ARCA, and part of the business relationship between sponsors Messina Wildlife Management and Menards. The Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200 title sponsorship is part of the comprehensive Menards Racing vendor program that includes not only an Official Company sponsorship with ARCA, but also a special award sponsorship in the Team Messina Rookie Challenge. All on-track activity for the Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200 will take place Friday, July 27. Two practices will take place, from 1:35-2:30 and 3-3:45. Menards Pole Qualifying will start at 5:30, setting the field for the 200-lap race at 9 p.m. ARCARacing.com will feature live timing and scoring of all of the day's action, and SPEED will televise the 9 p.m. race live. The ARCA CRA Super Series will join the ARCA Racing Series at the track, giving fans in Indianapolis a double feature of ARCA divisions.
