ISMA Supermodifieds return to Airborne

Last year’s winner and eventual ISMA champion Russ Wood of Pelham, NH will go for his second Airborne win in the Della Auto Group/Northline Utilities 50-lap feature. His rivals will include Chris Perley of Rowley, Mass., the all-time winningest driver in ISMA history, Ted Christopher of Plainville, Conn., the all-time win leader at Stafford Speedway and a five-time winner at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, last year’s runner-up Justin Belfiore of Haverhill, Mass., Mike Lichty of Innerkip, ONT, Tim Jederzjek of Independence, OH and Rob Summers of Vernon, Conn. Summers turned the fastest lap in Airborne history, 14.023 seconds (119 mph) during his qualifying heat last year. Post time Saturday is 6 p.m. The Versatile Trailer Sales Renegades, NAPA Auto Parts Mini Modifieds and Busch Bombers will also be in action.
