Louis‐Philippe Dumoulin realise un deuxieme top‐cinq cette saison

le 7 août 2011 Les freres Louis‐Philippe et Jean‐Francois Dumoulin auront su tenir en

haleine tous leurs partisans, ce dimanche, lors de la course en serie NASCAR Canadian Tire au Grand Prix de Trois‐Rivieres. Ayant du courir sous une pluie battante et une visibilite quasi‐nulle, Louis‐Philippe Dumoulin se classe au cinquieme rang alors que son frere Jean‐Francois prend la 12e place.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin gets a second top-five this season

 

Trois-Rivières, August 7th, 2011 - The Dumoulin brothers, Louis-Philippe and Jean-Francois, had their fans

sitting on the edge of their seats, this Sunday, during the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race at the Trois-

Rivieres Grand Prix. Although they had little or no visibility due to the heavy downpore during the race,

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin placed fifth and Jean-François placed 12th overall.

 

Parti en quatrieme place, Louis‐Philippe Dumoulin a rapidement pris la tete de l'epreuve. En conservant la premiere place pendant quelques tours, il a fait vibrer les amateurs venus l'encourager, chez lui. Il a du conceder la tete a Robin Buck, pilote chevronne sur circuits routiers, qui a finalement remporte l'epreuve.

Devant jongler avec de nombreux retardataires, quatre relances et une visibilite presque nulle l'interieur de son bolide, il s'est retrouve en septieme place pour enfin se pointer dans le top‐cinq apres une situation de vert‐blanc‐damiers.

≪ Dans une situation comme celle‐la, il faut etre precis avec le volant, precis avec la voiture et precis… avec le squeegee! Je ne voyais plus rien! J'ai fait de mon mieux dans ces circonstances ≫, s'exclame Louis‐Philippe Dumoulin, qui tenait a remercier tous ses partenaires, dont Maskimo Construction, en collaboration avec Somavrac, Bernier‐Crepeau et le groupe Cogeco, qui lui ont permis de realiser un deuxieme top‐cinq cette annee.

Jean‐Francois Dumoulin a lui aussi connu une course riche en rebondissements. Parti dixieme, il a du eviter un accrochage des le depart initial, ce qui lui a fait perdre quelques positions. Il a ensuite effectue une excellente remontee pour se pointer a son tour dans le top‐cinq. Ayant perdu son essuie‐glace ainsi que toute visibilite, il a ete force d'effectuer un arret aux puits. Il termine au 12e rang, au volant de la Dodge no 04 Bellemare.

≪ Il y avait de l'eau sur le plancher et elle bouillait tellement il faisait chaud a l'interieur de la voiture. Ca a cause une condensation extreme sur le pare‐brise ≫, explique Jean‐Francois Dumoulin.

Toute l'equipe Dumoulin Competition souhaite temoigner sa reconnaissance envers tous les partenaires, collaborateurs, famille, amis et partisans qui ont offert leur soutien tout au long du week‐end. Jean‐Francois et Louis‐Philippe Dumoulin clotureront leur saison dans deux semaines (19‐20 aout), a l'epreuve NASCAR Canadian Tire en marge du NAPA 200, ou ils retrouveront le mythique circuit Gilles‐Villeneuve de l'Ile Sainte‐Helene.

After starting in fourth position on the start up line Louis-Philippe quickly took the lead. In the many laps to

come Louis-Philippe had the fans cheering him, on his home track. He unfortunantely had to surrender first

place to Robin Buck, a talented road course pilot who took the victory for this race. Although having to deal

many lapped cars, four restarts, and unfavorable weather, Louis-Philippe found himself in seventh place to

finish within the top five after a green-white-checkered.

``In situations like this one you must be extra vigilant at the wheel, precise with the car and precise with

the…. squeegee! I couldn`t see a thing I did the best I could given the circumstances,`` explained Louis-

Philippe Dumoulin whom would like to thank all of his partners, Maskimo Construction partnered with

Somavrac, Bernier-Crépeau and the group Cogeco. All of whom helped him realize another top-five finish

this year.

Jean-Francois also had a rewarding race. Leaving tenth in the start up line Jean-Francois Dumoulin had to

avoid a small collision which made him fall back a few positions. He was forced to make a stop after losing

his wiper and all of his visibility. He finished 12th place in the No. 04 Bellemare Dodge car.

``Because the car was extremely hot it caused the water in the car to boil and condensate reducing my

visibility to zero,`` explained Jean-François Dumoulin.

The team Dumoulin Competition recognizes the help from all of its partners, fellow collaborators, family,

friends, and fans that showed relentless support during the weekend. Louis-Philippe et Jean-Francois

Dumoulin will complete this racing season in two weeks, August 19th, and 20th at the NASCAR Canadian

Tire Series event at the NAPA 200, at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit.
