Brian Hoar Inherits Riverside Can-Am 200 Win

Ste-Croix, QC – Seven-time ACT Champion Brian Hoar inherited his second win of the weekend in the ACT Late Model Tour and Série ACT Castrol combination Can-Am 200 at Circuit Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix, QC on Sunday, September 11. Hoar finished second to apparent winner Alex Labbé. Labbé was disqualified for failing to comply with a protest by the #91QC team of his ACT sealed crate motor. Labbe was disqualified from the event with no points and no money and has been suspended from further ACT competition for failing to comply with the requested teardown of his motor.

Hoar inherited his second win of the weekend following his “Showdown at Chaudiere” win on Saturday, September 10. It was his 33rd career ACT Late Model Tour win and second straight Can-Am 200 win. Wayne Helliwell, Jr. took over second followed by Hoar’s teammate Nick Sweet in third. Austin Theriualt and Brent Dragon completed the top five.

 

Patrick Hamel, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., Sylvain Lacombe, Claude Leclerc and David Michaud rounded out the top ten. The 200 lap event was completed in two hours and twenty-nine minutes with fifteen cautions.

The Série ACT Castrol competitors will head to Autodrome St-Eustache in St-Eustache, QC next Sunday, September 18 for the St-Eustache 300. It will be the final event at St-Eustache for the season and the second to final point counting event of the season. The ACT Late Model Tour has one point counting event remaining at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY on Saturday, October 8.
