Three PASS North touring series tackle the famed speedway for the first time

The long awaited Pro All Stars Series appearance at Stafford Motor Speedway is just a few days away and competitors in all three PASS North touring series are scrambling to prepare for their first ever trip to the Connecticut oval.

The PASS stars and cars have appeared at many of the Northeast United States and Canada's oval tracks during the series twelve year history, but only a few of the traveling pros have ever taken a lap around the historic speedway.

PASS Super Late Model regulars Travis Benjamin and six time PASS champion Ben Rowe have four starts each at the Nutmeg oval and PASS Mod racer Dale Shaw has Stafford experience too. But Ted Chrsitopher is the guy that's most likely to give the touring racers fits. His Stafford record is well known and he's won in every style of touring race car the speedway hosts. He'll be behind the wheel of one of Mulkern Racing's potent machines as a team mate to New Brunswick Canada's Lonnie Sommerville.

The list of PASS race winners and title holders on the early entry list is a long one and to a man they will be going all out to be the first to claim a PASS Stafford Motor Speedway win. In addition to Rowe and Benjamin. point leader and past National Champion Cassius Clark, six time titliest and defending PASS North champ Johnny Clark, 2012 race winners DJ Shaw, Derek Ramstrom and Joey Doiron, Gary Smith, maritime Canada's Matt Harris and Matt Matheson, Thompson Speedway regular Mike O'Sullivan, Kyle DeSouza, Austin Brehio and Bryan Kruczak are all Stafford bound.

Southern short track legend Jay Fogleman will travel from Durham North Carolina to compete for the PASS National title. Stafford is the second stop on this seven race series that pits the top PASS North and South drivers against one another on speedways from the Carolinas to New Hampshire.

All th

The PASS Mods will visit their fastest venue to date for a 40 lap shootout and the PASS Sportsman teams will challenge Stafford's own limited sportsman competitors for 60 laps. Add Dirt Sportsman Crate Mods and the NETS trucks to the mix and you have the makings of a can't miss race day.

It's all happening Sunday August 26; the first green waves at 4:00 PM. There's more information on line at www.proallstarsseries.com and www.staffordmotorspeedway.com .
